Swimming Earns Second Consecutive Spring CSCAA Academic Award

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – For the second consecutive spring season the Juniata College women’s swimming team earned the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Team Scholar All-America award. The honor is presented to teams that have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the semester coinciding with the championship season.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – With each of their respective athletic careers at Juniata College officially over, the Eagle senior student-athletes had their sights on one more milestone, graduation. There were 75 student-athletes who participated in the 136th Annual Commencement on Saturday, May 17 to receive their degrees.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College women’s swim team continued to defy odds in the Landmark Conference despite the small size of their team. The 348.5 points they amassed at the Landmark Conference Swimming & Diving Championships was the highest point-total for the Eagles at the meet since joining the conference in 2007. Juniata finished seventh overall at the championship meet, but spots four through seven were separate by less than 40 points.

Landmark Announces Winter All-Sportsmanship Teams

TOWSON, Md. – In the fall of 2013, the Landmark Conference announced the formation of the leagues’ All-Sportsmanship Team. Created by the conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the teams include one student-athlete from each institution for each sport selected by the players and coaches from their respective teams. The teams were established as a way to recognize those who are making an impact through their fair play.

TOWSON, Md. – At the end of each season the Landmark Conference announces the Academic Honor Roll recognizing student-athletes that have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher. For Juniata College, 29 student-athletes from the men’s and women’s track and field team, the men’s and women’s basketball teams, and the women’s swimming team were recognized as honor roll members.
