Fimple Earns Landmark Swimmer of the Week Honors
TOWSON, Md. – Juniata College women's swimming freshman Erika Fimple (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) earned Landmark Conference Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday. Fimple helped the Eagles to a second place finish among five teams at the Chatham Invitational last Saturday.

TOWSON, Md. – Juniata College women's swimming freshman Erika Fimple (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) earned Landmark Conference Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday. Fimple helped the Eagles to a second place finish among five teams at the Chatham Invitational last Saturday.
"She had a great meet," said head coach Nathan Smith. "She had a really tough lineup and she was a little nervous about it before the meet. But she just went out and raced hard every single race."
On Saturday, in the third meet of her collegiate career, Fimple earned four individual wins and helped the Eagles pick up two relay wins. She competed in five individual events, winning the 100 IM (1:06.00), 200 IM (2:19.31), 50 butterfly (28.64) and the 200 butterfly (2:23.50). Fimple also helped Juniata earn first places in the 200 freestyle relay (1:44.21) and the 200 medley relay (1:57.93).
The Eagles next head to Scranton for their first Landmark meet of the year on Saturday, Nov. 9. The competition against the University of Scranton and Goucher College is set to begin at 1 p.m.
