2017 (Sophomore): Peterson played in 33 matches in his second year as an Eagle... CVC and ECAC Player of the Week on Jan. 23... first on the team in kills with 434... had a season high of 33 kills against NYU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament... logged 150 digs... had 40 service aces... tallied 69 blocks.

2016 (Freshman): Peterson played in 24 matches in his first year as an Eagle... had 176 total kills with a season high of 21 avainst Marymount (Va.) (3/19/2016)... also had 65 digs with a season high of 7 against Rutgers-Newark (4/1/2016). 

High School - Peterson played volleyball all four years of his high school career at Shadow Ridge ... showed his versatility and played as an outside hitter, a middle blocker and an opposite ... in junior and senior year, he was named to the First Team All-Conference and First Team All-Region ... named First Team All-State his senior year, as well as team MVP and captain ... in junior season he was also a captain and MVP, while picking up Second Team All-State honors.

Eagles’ Season Ends in NCAA Quarterfinals

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- For the third match in a row, Juniata men’s volleyball faced a deficit and needed a comeback to win their match against Wentworth in the NCAA Quarterfinals. The Leopards would not oblige as they defeated JC 3-0 on Friday night at Blake Arean on the campus of Springfield College. The Leopards advance to play SUNY New Paltz in tomorrow’s semifinals.

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Staring down a 2-0 deficit against NYU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday night, the Juniata men’s volleyball team saved its biggest comeback of the season for the right time. The Eagles rallied for a thrilling 3-2 victory in front of a packed and raucous Memorial Gym crowd to advance to the NCAA quarterfinals next Friday in Springfield, Mass.

ARLINGTON, Va.- In the most fitting fashion, the 2017 Continental Volleyball Conference championship match went to five sets for the first time ever. To make it even more epic, it took more than 15 points to decide a champion. In the end, the Juniata men’s volleyball team came out on top as the Eagles recovered from a 2-1 deficit to win 3-2 and claim the CVC title.

ARLINGTON, Va.- The Juniata men’s volleyball team was one step away from the Continental Volleyball Conference title match on Friday as it faced off against Stevenson in the semifinals. The Eagles were able to get past their first hurdle as they defeated the defending champion Mustangs 3-1 to advance to the championship.

Men’s Volleyball Sweeps Alvernia to Clinch Playoff Spot

READING, Pa.- Needing a win in their last three matches to secure a spot in the Continental Volleyball Conference Tournament, the Juniata men’s volleyball team did so with a resounding 3-0 victory over Alvernia on Wednesday night. The win, the Eagles’ fourth in a row, improves their overall record to 17-10 and their CVC record to 9-3.

Mahlon Bender had seven kills on seven attempts for a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage.
Eagles Topple Mustangs 3-0

OWINGS MILLS, MD.- The last time Juniata and Stevenson met in men’s volleyball back on February 24, the two teams played four close sets with the Mustangs winning 3-1 in Huntingdon. On Friday night in Maryland, it was not nearly as close and it was the Eagles on the winning end in a 3-0 victory.

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata men’s volleyball hosted Eastern Mennonite on Tuesday night at Memorial Gymnasium. The Eagles were looking for payback against the Royals for their 3-1 loss back on March 18 and earned it with a 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 28-26) victory.

NEW PALTZ, NY- In a rematch of their January 28 battle, the men’s volleyball teams of Juniata and SUNY New Paltz met once again but this time at the Hawks’ home court. The Eagles gave the Hawks a fight but it was New Paltz who came out on top with a 3-0 (25-23, 26-24, 25-17) win.

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The score may say otherwise but Juniata and Stevenson played a tight four-set match on Friday night at Memorial Gymnasium. It was no more than a three-point differential in all four sets but the Mustangs were able to defeat the Eagles 3-1.

Men’s Volleyball Splits Pair of Matches in Newark

NEWARK, NJ- The Juniata men’s volleyball team picked up its first win of the season, and the first for new head coach Glenn DeHaven, as the Eagles defeated Elmira 3-0. It was the second day of the CVC/UVC Crossover held at Rutgers-Newark.

NEWARK, NJ- The 2017 season for the Juniata men’s volleyball team began on Friday night at the CVC/UVC Crossover Tournament hosted by Rutgers-Newark. The Eagles faced #3 Stevens Institute and fell by the score of 3-0.
