HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College women's basketball remained unchanged in its ranking in both major Division III women's basketball polls for this week.
The Eagles (21-1, 11-0 Landmark) held onto their No. 11 ranking in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 Coaches' Poll, and checked in at No. 13 in the D3hoops.com Top 25 rankings.
Juniata posted wins over the University of Scranton, 66-45, and Moravian College, 63-60, last week. Neither school was receiving votes in either national poll.
The biggest movement in the poll came at the expense of the University of Rochester (17-3), which had been ranked sixth by USA Today/ESPN poll and fifth by D3hoops.com. Rochester dropped games to both No. 2 University of Chicago (20-0) and then-No. 13/12 Washington University-St.Louis (16-4), and fell out of the top ten in both polls.
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (19-3) jumped ahead of Juniata in the USA Today/ESPN poll, up from 12th to 10th, after winning a pair of games in conference play.
Juniata will be back in action on the court this Friday, Feb. 10, when the Eagles host the Catholic University of America at 5:30 p.m. at the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center. The Eagles remain at home for their final regular season contest on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 2:00 p.m. against Goucher College.
