Women’s basketball slides to no. 19 on D3Hoops.com poll

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – With a tough loss to no. 6 William Paterson (8-0), Juniata women's basketball fell two slots on the D3Hoops.com Top 25 Poll as of Sunday, Dec. 11.
The 71-53 loss last Saturday (12/10) to the Pioneers negatively impacted the Eagles' ranking as they fell from no. 17 to no. 19 with 151 points. However, Juniata (8-1) still remains the lone Landmark Conference institution on the poll.
For the third week in a row Amherst College (7-0) held on to first with 619 points and 21 first place votes, one more than they received last week. The University of Chicago (6-0) also remained untouched at no. 2 with 597 points and three first place votes.
The weekly poll is voted on by a panel of coaches, sports information directors, and media members from across the nation.
Women's hoops travels to Marymount University on Sunday, Dec. 18 for a 3:00 p.m. match-up prior to breaking for the holiday. The Eagles will return to the Kennedy S+RC on December 29-30, as they host the Juniata Holiday Classic.
