Bio

Kristy Launtz is in her eighth year as Juniata’s cheerleading coordinator.

Under her direction, the cheerleading program has grown from an eight member team to more than a 20 member team this season. Within Launtz’ tenure, members of the team have competed in local and regional competitions, placing in the areas of stunt group, jump, dance, tumbling, and cheer. 

Launtz’ cheerleading experience extends from participating, judging and coaching.  She was the head coach for the Huntingdon Area High School cheerleading team for eight years.  In addition, Launtz coached for the Huntingdon Youth Cheerleading League for ages 9-12.   She is AACCA safety certified, First Aid, and CPR certified as well as certified through the National Council for Sprit and Safety in coaching fundamentals, principles, and ethics.    

Launtz is currently an administrative assistant for the Huntingdon Area School District. She is married with one daughter. She currently lives in Huntingdon, Pa. 

Kristy is looking forward to the continued growth and success of the Juniata College cheerleading program.
