HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Head women’s volleyball coach Heather Pavlik has added a top California recruit to the 2013 recruiting class. Mar-Jana Phillips (Carson, Calif./Rolling Hills Prep) committed to joining the Eagles next season and became the second Golden State prospect on Juniata's roster.

Held Sunday night on campus, the event also recognized the departments “Big Five”, the top five senior student-athletes who have made incredible contributions not only to their respective sports, but the institution as a whole over the course of their four years.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata women’s volleyball team is giving up its Saturday mornings for a good cause. The Eagles volunteer their time to facilitate the Huntingdon Community Center Junior High Volleyball clinic at the DuBois Business College Gym. The clinic, intended for girls in grades 6-8, runs Saturdays from Feb. 2–March 2.

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conferences (MAC) announced the Women’s Volleyball All-Century Team as a part of their 100-year anniversary celebration Wednesday and Juniata College dominated the list from 1912-2002, receiving 13 of the 22 nods. Juniata was a member of the MAC from 1977-2006. Combined, they include 34 All-American honors, 33 MAC All-Star Awards, 10 Juniata MVP’s and eight hall of fame inductees.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – As the Juniata women’s volleyball team heads to the NCAA South Regional for a 12:30 p.m. matchup with Trinity (Tex.) on Friday, Nov. 9, the young Eagles will be looking to Kelsey Fuller (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion), their lone senior, for leadership. This will be the outside hitter’s fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament and her last chance at a national title.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – A post-Sandy Juniata College will host the semifinals and championship match of the 2012 Landmark Conference women’s volleyball tournament this Saturday, Nov. 3 in the Kennedy Sports+Recreation Center. The Eagles (22-11) earned the honor after going undefeated (6-0) in league play this season and are looking for their sixth consecutive conference championship.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – No. 23 Juniata College (24-11) won its sixth consecutive Landmark Women’s Volleyball Championship in straight sets, 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-22), over Catholic University (27-10) Saturday Night. The Eagles remain undefeated in the league, having won 49-straight matches against Landmark opponents and gone 12-0 in tournament play. They will make their 32nd straight appearance in the NCAA tournament next weekend in the regionals.

LOUIS, Mo. – After battling through a tough match against host No. 1 Washington (Mo.) last night, No. 24 Juniata women’s volleyball closed its final day at the Washington Halloween Invitational with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-12) win over Alverno and a 3-1 (25-21, 25-22, 20-25, 29-27) win against St. Ambrose. They finished the weekend 2-1.
