Huntingdon, Pa. – Juniata fell to Bridgewater (Va.), 12-5, on Wednesday evening at Gibbel Stadium.
Devyn Mauger led Juniata with three goals on six shots, including a free-position goal. Ella McGlaughlin opened the scoring for Juniata with a first-quarter goal, while Elayna Stubbe added a goal and recorded three ground balls and two draw controls.
Juniata totaled 21 shots with 17 on goal and matched Bridgewater with 17 ground balls. The Eagles also recorded eight draw controls, led by Mauger with four and Kambria Hoyt with two.
Skyler Stevens finished with four shots on goal, while McGlaughlin and Stubbe each placed three shots on target.
Defensively, Juniata caused eight turnovers, with Stubbe leading the way with three caused turnovers. Victoria Smith added two caused turnovers.
