WESTMINSTER, Md.- The Juniata men's soccer team defeated McDaniel College, 2-1, on the road Sunday afternoon in the ECAC Quarterfinals. With the win, the Eagles will advance to ECAC Semifinals.
Jayden Gaynor and Gavin Rauhut scored for the Eagles.
In the 17th minute, Jalen Holliday's shot was blocked in the box, but Gaynor was first to the loose ball and tapped it into the left corner to put the Eagles up.
Juniata dominated the first half, leading in shots 9-1.
In the 72nd minute, Jase Colino played a through ball from midfield down the left channel to Rauhut. He latched onto the ball, took a few touches before slotting the ball into the right corner.
The Green Terror got on back in the 86th minute, but the Eagles didn't allow another.
Juniata will play the winner of FDU-Florham William Patterson University, Saturday the 22nd.
