Women’s Cross Country Selected Fourth in Landmark Preseason Poll
TOWSON, MD – The Juniata women's cross country team was picked to finish fourth in the Landmark Conference this season in the 2016 Preseason Coaches’ Poll. The Eagles received a total of 34 points.
TOWSON, MD – The Juniata women's cross country team was picked to finish fourth in the Landmark Conference this season in the 2016 Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Eagles received a total of 34 points.
Defending champion Elizabethtown College was picked to finish first with 70 points. Moravian followed in second with 52 points with Susquehanna coming in third with 46 points.
Junior Allyson Kopera (Hastings, PA / Northern Cambria) and sophomore Yanibel Collado (Freeport, N.Y./Milton Hershey) return to lead the women's team. Both runners were Landmark Second Team selections with their 10th and 14th place finishes at last year's championships. In addition, solid freshman class will help Juniata maintain several top times during the season.
The 2016 season begins on September 2 when the Eagles compete at the Bison Open. The women's race begins at 6:00 p.m.
