Women's Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky.- The Juniata women's volleyball team was awarded the AVCA Team Academic Award. The award honors volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.

ANNVILLE, Pa. –The Middle Atlantic Conferences (MAC) and Executive Director Ken Andrews announced the MAC Hall of Fame Class of 2018. This year’s class, the seventh class, had 16 inductees from current and former member institutions including current Juniata head women's volleyball coach Heather Pavlik.

HUNTINGDON, Pa.-The Juniata women's volleyball program has a longstanding tradition of excellence, as shown by their 11 straight Landmark Conference Championships and 36 straight appearances in the NCAA tournament. Head coach Heather Pavlik and assistant coach Casey Dale welcome five incoming student-athletes to the team for the 2018 season.

ANNAPOLIS, Md.- Larry Bock, the winningest volleyball coach in the history of the NCAA and the first head coach of both Juniata volleyball teams, has decided to retire after seven seasons at Navy. Prior to Navy he spent the previous 34 years turning Juniata into a national power in volleyball.

DANBURY, Conn.- The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced the recipients of the 2017 Fall Academic Honor Rolls today. A total of 1,857 student-athletes from across the ECAC membership made the list and a total of 82 Juniata Eagle student atheltes made the list.

LEXINGTON, Ky.- Marybeth Weihbrecht (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association Region Player of the Year and was joined on the first team by Katie Byrne (Annapolis, Md. / Broadneck). Victoria Taylor (Middletown, Del. / Delaware Military Academy) received honorable mention.
