Women’s Volleyball Climbs Up in AVCA Poll

LEXINGTON, KY- The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its weekly poll earlier today. The Juniata women’s volleyball team rises two spots to #6.

Juniata went 2-1 last weekend at the Wittenberg Classic. The Eagles defeated Ohio Northern 3-0 on Friday. They suffered their first loss of the season to #5 Cal-Lutheran 3-0 on Saturday but rebounded with a comeback victory over the #9 host Tigers, 3-2.

The Eagles host Salisbury, Franklin and Marshall, Christopher Newport, and SUNY Cortland this weekend at the Asics Invitational. Juniata will play the Seagulls at 4 p.m. on Friday followed by the #12 Captains at 8 p.m. The Eagles face the Diplomats at 1 p.m. on Saturday and the Red Dragons at 5 p.m.
