MADISON, N.J.- The Juniata women's tennis team continued their weekend of Landmark Conference matches as they fell 2-7 at Drew on Sunday afternoon.
Medina Yessenaliyeva and Maggie Ackley earned Juniata's two wins in their singles matches.
Yessenaliyeva competed a 2-0 weekend as she won first singles 6-4, 6-1, while Ackley won sixth singles 4-6, 1-6. Celia Navarro de Torres fell in second singles 0-6, 1-6, while Charley Madlock lost in third singles 4-6, 1-6. Marilyn Ogof was swept in fourth singles 0-6, 0-6, and Shveta Kalathur fell by the same score in fifth singles.
Yessenaliyeva and Navarro de Torres were swept in first doubles 0-8, while Madlock and Ogof fell 6-8 in second doubles. Ackley and Kalathur suffered an 0-8 loss in third doubles.
The Juniata women's tennis team is back in action midweek. On Wednesday at 4:00 p.m., they travel to Landmark Conference opponent Susquehanna.
