ALTOONA, Pa. – The women's tennis team hosted Scranton at the Summit Athletic Club Sunday but was swept 9-0.
In doubles play, Maggie Ackley (Clearville, Pa. / Grier School) and Jamie Mahigel (Lewistown, Pa. / Mifflin County) lost 8-3 in first doubles, Lana Dumnich (Dallastown, Pa. / Dallastown Area) and Olivia Cooley (Portland, Ore. / La Salle Catholic College Prep) lost 8-0 in second doubles and Shannon Snyder (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) and Payton Kough (Fayetteville, Pa. / Chambersburg Career Magnet) lost 8-0 in third doubles.
The Eagles could not clinch a win in singles play. In first singles, Ackley lost 6-0, 6-0 and Mahigel lost 6-2, 6-1 in second singles. Marilyn Ogof (Lake Ariel, Pa. / Western Wayne) lost 6-2, 6-1 in third singles and Dumnich lost 6-0, 6-2 in fourth singles. Snyder lost 6-2, 6-0 in fifth singles and Kough lost 6-1, 6-0 in sixth singles.
The Eagles ended their season 1-16 overall and 0-7 in the Landmark.
