Women’s Tennis Opens Spring Season at Gettysburg
GETTYSBURG, Pa.- The Juniata women’s tennis team returned to competition on Friday afternoon with its first match of 2017. The Eagles battled with Gettysburg but were denied by the Bullets 8-1.

GETTYSBURG, Pa.- The Juniata women's tennis team returned to competition on Friday afternoon with its first match of 2017. The Eagles battled with Gettysburg but were denied by the Bullets 8-1.
The lone win for Juniata came at third singles. Vienna Cordier (Medford, NJ/Shawnee) defeated Gillian Minnerly 7-6, 6-4 to improve to 2-0 in 2016-17. Rachel Yurchisin (Cleveland, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) went to a super tie-breaker in her her match with Laura Gradiska but Gradiska came out on the winning end with a 1-6, 6-3, 10-1 decision.
Juniata is 1-1. The Eagles' next scheduled match is Thursday, March 30 at 4:00 p.m. against Dickinson.
