Beegle earns singles and doubles wins in 6-3 loss at Goucher

Juniata College junior Stacie Beegle accounted for one of Juniata’s two singles points and helped with a point in doubles play, as the Eagles dropped a 6-3 Landmark Conference women’s tennis match at Goucher College on Saturday.

TOWSON, Md. – Juniata College junior Stacie Beegle (Schellsburg, Pa./Chestnut Ridge) accounted for one of Juniata's two singles points and helped with a point in doubles play, as the Eagles dropped a 6-3 Landmark Conference women's tennis match at Goucher College on Saturday.

Beegle and Hilary Walsh (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area) notched an 8-3 win over Goucher's Addie Maxwell and Vickey Casey at no. 3 doubles.

Beegle went on to chart a 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 triumph over the Gophers' Alexandra Walsh at no. 4 singles.

Cara Stough (Friendsville, Md./Northern Garrett) produced Juniata's other singles win with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Maxwell at no. 5 singles.

Juniata (6-9, 0-4 Landmark) will close out the 2012 season on Saturday, April 21, at 12:00 p.m., when it faces Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
