Juniata Women Sit Fifth After Big Saturday Finals Session
Baltimore, Md. – The Juniata women's swimming team continued its push up the standings on Saturday at the 2026 Landmark Conference Championships, led by multiple A and B final appearances and a top-five relay finish. Through 28 events, the Eagles held fifth place with 206.5 points.
Juniata's biggest individual score of the night came in the 100-yard breaststroke, where Megan Mikell finished fourth in the A final with a 1:08.16 after qualifying at 1:08.70 in prelims.
In the 400-yard individual medley, Eleanor Smith delivered another major result for the Eagles, taking fourth in the A final in 4:49.28 (4:50.75 prelim). Juniata also earned a B final finish from Abby Ortiz, who placed 10th with a 4:58.96 after a 5:03.06 in prelims. Maegan Jordan competed in preliminaries.
The Eagles also picked up points in the 200-yard freestyle, with Danielle Cline finishing 13th (2:03.31) after a 2:02.69 in prelims. Lakelynn Godfrey (15th, 2:05.58) and Delany Wetzel (16th, 2:05.91) added additional scoring swims.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Coltan Swarts advanced to the A final and placed sixth with a 1:01.15 (1:01.71 prelim).
Juniata capped the session with a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The quartet of Lakelynn Godfrey, Norah McClain, Danielle Cline, and Kasey Williams posted a 1:43.96 to add a strong relay score for the Eagles.
