Eleanor Smith, Abby Ortiz, and Megan Mikell lead Eagles to 211–31 win at Goucher
Towson, Md. – Juniata women's swimming dominated from the opening relay and cruised to a 211–31 victory at Goucher on Friday.
The Eagles swept both relays—the 200 medley (Wetzel/Englerth/Moore/Godfrey, 2:02.28) and the 200 free (Swarts/Godfrey/Wetzel/Finch, 1:50.09) stacking wins across the lineup.
Eleanor Smith opened with a wire-to-wire win in the 1000 free (11:27.09) and later took the 200 IM (2:25.63).
Abby Ortiz doubled with victories in the 200 free (2:08.84) and 100 back (1:07.30), while Megan Mikell sprinted to first in both the 50 back (29.20) and 50 free (26.85).
Lena Englerth swept the breaststrokes (50 breast 35.42; 100 breast 1:18.84),
Delany Wetzel won the 500 free (5:54.26), and Lakelynn Godfrey captured the 100 free (58.80).
Depth carried the day, with multiple 1–2–3 finishes powering a comprehensive team win.
The Eagles next compete at home on October 25th against Lebanon Valley.
