Williamsport, Pa. – Juniata women's soccer battled hard but came up short against a 16-1 Lycoming squad, falling 2–0 on Saturday afternoon in Landmark Conference action.
Lycoming (16-1-0, 6-1-0 LC) struck twice in the opening 15 minutes and never looked back. Mikayla Long put the Warriors on the board in the fifth minute off an assist from Abigail Umhoefer, and the duo reversed roles ten minutes later as Umhoefer netted the second goal with Ella Magee also credited with an assist.
Juniata (5-6-3, 1-4-1 LC) regrouped defensively after the early burst, limiting Lycoming to just two corner kicks and holding them scoreless over the final 75 minutes. Goalkeeper Emma Stiller turned in a strong performance with 11 saves while facing 15 total shots.
Offensively, the Eagles managed 10 shots, including six on goal, and earned four corner kicks. Savanna Murray and Olivia Rodriguez each registered shots on target, while McKenna Kelley added a late attempt in the 87th minute. Juniata was clean on the day with no cards and just eight fouls committed.
