READING, Pa. - The Juniata women's soccer team earned a draw at Alvernia University on Wednesday evening.
Emma Stiller made two saves in the net for the Eagles.
Savanna Murray had the best chance for the Eagles in the first half. She ripped a shot in the 21st minute that the Golden Wolves keeper saved.
The teams went into the locker room 0-0 at the half.
Juniata came out the aggressors in the opening 10 minutes as Jasmine Hechler and Ella Haffey tested the AU keeper. McKaye Wilton took a shot that went left of the goal. Juniata continued to test the Alvernia defense, as Olivia Rodriguez took a shot that was a little off target. Murray and Giavana Pacheco drew more saves from the Alvernia goalie before Gracie French whipped a shot over the goal.
In the 78th minute, Camille McRoberts angled a shot towards the bottom left of the Golden Wolves' goal, which their goalie again was equal to.
Juniata was on the defensive in the first half as they were outshot 7-1, but dominated the second half as they outshot AU 9-2.
The Eagles return to action this Saturday at Washington and Jefferson at 1:00.
