Juniata Women's Soccer Releases 2025 Schedule
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College women's soccer team has unveiled its 2025 schedule, a well-balanced slate that features a strong mix of non-conference competition, a gauntlet of Landmark Conference matchups, and a highly anticipated home showdown against the reigning conference champions.
The Eagles open the season with back-to-back home contests at Gibbel Stadium, starting on Friday, August 29 against Geneva College at 3:00 PM. Less than 24 hours later, they return to the field to face Westminster (Pa.) on Saturday, August 30.
September features a two-game homestand to begin the month, with matchups against Dickinson (Sept. 3) and Albright (Sept. 6) rounding out the Eagles' opening stretch. Juniata then hits the road for six consecutive away matches, beginning with Alvernia on Sept. 10, followed by regional battles against Washington & Jefferson (Sept. 13) and Penn State–Altoona (Sept. 14).
A marquee non-conference test awaits on Wednesday, Sept. 17, when the Eagles visit Notre Dame (Md.), a consistently strong Division III program. The non-conference schedule wraps up with a trip to Cedar Crest on Sept. 23, setting the stage for Landmark Conference play.
Juniata opens conference action on the road at Moravian on Saturday, Sept. 27 before returning to Huntingdon for two pivotal home matches: Wilkes (Oct. 4) and Elizabethtown (Oct. 7).
The second half of October delivers the biggest test of the year. On Saturday, Oct. 18, Juniata hosts Scranton, the defending conference champions and winners of five straight Landmark titles. The Royals are widely regarded as one of the top programs in Division III and represent a key measuring stick for the Eagles.
The regular season closes with a demanding road stretch that includes trips to Lycoming (Oct. 21), Drew (Oct. 25), and Catholic (Oct. 28). With several tight conference races expected, those final matches could hold major postseason implications.
After qualifying for the ECAC Playoffs last fall and going undefeated through the month of September, Head Coach Joseph Alianiello and Assistant Coach Lydia Hiller return a team ready to build on last season's momentum and make a deeper postseason run.
