Four Eagles Named to Landmark All-Conference
Towson, MD - On the heels of a Landmark semi-final appearance and a third-place finish in the regular season, the Juniata women's lacrosse team received news that four members were named to Landmark All- All-Conference teams and Maeve Kuser was named Landmark Defensive Player of the Year as announced by the conference on Friday afternoon
Senior midfielder Peyton Goodrich and senior defenseman Maeve Kuser were named to the first team, while senior attacker Kyndall Yeager and senior defenseman Tess Ledeboer were named to second team honors.
Goodrich capped off a stellar senior season, playing in 17 games while accumulating 45 goals and nine assists, picking up 37 groundballs and causing 29 turnovers. Goodrich currently sits 4th in the conference in goals per game (2.65) and 14th in the conference in points per game (3.18). This is Goodrich's second time being named to the Landmark first-team and third time being named overall.
Kuser capped off a record-setting season, breaking the landmark record for career caused turnovers (171) and setting Juniata records for career caused turnovers and career ground balls (208). Kuser was also named Landmark player of the week twice. This season, Kuser picked up 60 groundballs and caused 60 turnovers in 18 games. This is Kuser's third Landmark first team regognition.
Yeager was 2nd on the team in goals this season with 41 and second in assists with 15. This is Yeager's second career All-Conference selection as she was named to the second team last year. In the landmark Yeager was 8th in goals per game (2.28) and 15th in points per game. (3.17).
Ledeboer was a standout for the Eagles defense accumalating 32 ground balls, while causing 26 turnovers. In the Landmark, Ledeboer was 6th in caused turnovers with 1.53. This is Ledeboer's second all-conference honor after being named to the second team last season.
