Eagles Net A Podium Finish at Royal Manchester
Manchester, Pa- The Juniata Women's Golf Team traveled to Royal Manchester Golf Links today to compete in the York College Spartan Shootout. The field consisted of five talented teams and saw the Eagles place in fourth after day one in windy and rainy conditions. Round one was left incomplete but the Eagles finshed strong on day two with a 407 leaving them in second place.
Jazmine Boland led the Eagles today, finishing with a 103 nine, finishing strong in the 17th position. Madeline Bainey teed it up in tough conditions at Royal Manchester to shoot an even 100. Bainey battled hard and finished in T15 position at the conclusion of the tournament. Lily Stewart stuck the ball well today, shooting 105. The fescue-lined track was a challenge in the wind as big gusts controlled the day, as Stewart finished in 18th. Molly Schweitzer finished in 14th place after a full 36 holes. Schweitzer knocked down two pars to shoot 99 overall. Kylee Marshall tailed Schweitzer en route to shooting 107 at Royal Manchester. She finished in BLANK as day two provides new opportunities. Emily Kemmer made her collegiate debut on a challenging track. Kemmer shot 110 and made par on her first hole of her career on day one.
The Eagles tee off again at the Landmark Conference Championships on October 25th and 26th at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.
