Mechanicsburg, Pa. – Juniata women's basketball dropped a 70–38 road decision at Messiah on Tuesday night, as the Eagles moved to 0–7 on the season.
Messiah jumped ahead early and controlled the game throughout, shooting 46.7% from the field while holding Juniata to 14-of-60 shooting. The Eagles battled on the boards with a 35–45 rebounding margin and produced 22 points off the bench, but a 19–0 deficit in points off turnovers proved decisive.
B. Bodtorf led Juniata with eight rebounds and four points in 31 minutes, while L. Skweres provided an efficient spark, scoring a team-high 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, including 2-for-2 from three. E. Coolidge chipped in nine rebounds and added three points, and M. Owens scored three points with three assists.
O. Berg, E. McCann, G. Navickas, M. Hartman, and C. Clarke each added scoring contributions as the Eagles generated 11 second-chance points from 13 offensive rebounds.
Juniata returns to action on December 20th at Westminster.
