Juniata Walks Off Lycoming in Game One, Falls in Game Two
Huntingdon, Pa. – Juniata walked off Lycoming, 3-2 in game one of saturday's doubleheader.
Juniata tied the game in the sixth on an RBI double from Lexi Roush, and after Lycoming tied it in the seventh, Juniata won it in the ninth. Claire Thomas drew a walk with the bases loaded to bring in the winning run.
Thomas finished with two hits and an RBI, while Roush went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Maryn Swank added two hits, and Eva Johnson drove in a run.
Ashley Robuck and Grace Hensch each recorded a hit, while Dani Berlin scored a run.
In the circle, Cheyenne Silvis earned the complete game win, allowing two runs on five hits with five strikeouts.
In game two, Juniata fell to Lycoming, 8-7.
Juniata scored five runs in the first inning. Cailee Barnett, Lexi Roush, Dani Berlin, Maryn Swank, and Morgan Fraker each drove in a run.
Claire Thomas led the offense, going 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Barnett added two hits and an RBI, while Berlin finished with two hits and two RBI.
Swank, Fraker, and Ashley Robuck each recorded a hit and an RBI. Robuck added a double.
Juniata totaled 11 hits in the game.
In the circle, Maryn Swank started and allowed five runs over two innings. Gracie Ruch allowed two runs in two innings, Maddy Detz tossed two scoreless innings, and Cheyenne Silvis allowed one run in the final inning.
