HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata softball team lost twice to visiting Penn College, 3-1 and 10-0, on Tuesday afternoon at West End Field.
In game one, the Wildcats scored in the first inning and tacked on a second run in the second on a sacrifice fly to right.
Grace Hensch put Juniata on the board with a double that scored Cailee Barnett.
A solo homerun to center in the sixth by Penn College completed the score line.
Cheyenne Silvis got the start and went the distance for the Eagles, allowing three runs on eight hits with three strikeouts.
Game two saw the Wildcats roar out of the gate, putting up six runs in the first inning, and they never relented.
They scored one in the second, two in the third, and one more in the fourth to push their lead to 10.
The Wildcats shut down the Eagles in the bottom half of the fifth to end the game.
Juniata returns to action this Saturday, hosting Lycoming at 1:00.
