DANBURY, CONN.- The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its major awards and All-Star selections in softball on Thursday. Freshman outfielder Alyssa Shedlock (State College, Pa./State College) was named the South Region Rookie of the Year.
BETHLETHEM, Pa.- Juniata softball took the field for its first Landmark Tournament game in four years on Saturday morning against host Moravian. The Eagles had an early 1-0 lead but the Greyhounds came back to score five times in the bottom of third to take a lead they would not relinquish as Moravian won 9-1 in five innings.
BETHLEHEM, Pa.- Needing a win to play another day in the Landmark Tournament, Juniata softball faced off against Susquehanna in the final of four games on Saturday. JC led 1-0 after 3 2/3 innings but the River Hawks tied and then took the lead for good in the fifth on their way to a 5-1 win.
TOWSON, Md.- The Landmark Conference on Wednesday announced its major award winners along with its All-Conference selections. Freshman outfielder Alyssa Shedlock (State College, Pa./State College) was named the Rookie of the Year and selected to the First Team. Joining her on the First Team is junior shortstop Kerigan Ammerman (Alexandria, Pa./Juniata Valley). Sophomore third baseman Abby Ebright (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) was a Second Team selection. The three players selected are the most for JC since five were named in 2010.
READING, Pa.- The Juniata softball team played its last regular season doubleheader of the season on Tuesday afternoon against Albright. The Lions won the first game 1-0 and the second game by the score of 8-5.
HUNTINGDON, Pa.- With the game tied at 3-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Allie Baney (State College, Pa./State College) singled to bring home the winning run as the Eagles softball team rallied to defeat Elizabethtown 4-3 in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon at West End Field. The win clinches the fourth and final playoff spot in the Landmark Tournament for Juniata and is the team’s first playoff berth since 2013.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Eagles dropped both games in a double header against Catholic University in conference play on Thursday. The team fell 2-0 in game one and 4-2 in game two.
HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata softball team has made changes to its schedule. Today’s scheduled doubleheader with Penn State Harrisburg has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata-Catholic softball doubleheader scheduled for this afternoon in Washington, D.C. has been postponed because of inclement weather. The two teams will now play on Thursday April 27 at 3 and 5:00 p.m.
ALTOONA, Pa.- Juniata softball traveled 36 miles west for a non-conference doubleheader with Penn State Altoona on Tuesday afternoon. The Lions won the first game 9-1 in six innings while the Eagles took the second game 11-0 in five innings.
HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata softball hosted Landmark rival Susquehanna in a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The River Hawks defeated the Eagles 6-2 in Game 1 and 10-0 in six innings in Game 2. The loss drops JC to 13-17 overall and 3-5 in the conference while Susquehanna improves to 19-9 overall and 6-2 in the conference.
HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata softball hosted Trinity (D.C.) in a non-conference doubleheader on Thursday afternoon at West End Field. The Eagles won the first game 13-1 and the second 20-1 in five innings.
HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata softball hosted Dickinson in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon at West End Field. Freshman pitcher Anna Baran (Tyrone, Pa./Tyrone) tossed a two-hit shutout for the Eagles as they won the first game 4-0.
HUNTINGDON, Pa.- On Tuesday, Juniata softball hosts Dickinson in a non-conference doubleheader at West End Field. The team will also be supporting a worthwhile cause in the battle against Multiple Sclerosis.
