2016 (Freshman): Started eight games in the circle for the Eagles ... pitched 41 total innings and posted an ERA of 7.34 ... went the distance and picked up first career win at Pitt-Greensburg (3/22) ... at the plate batted .287 with 29 hits, 18 runs scored, 13 runs batted in ... had three doubles ... stole four bases ... started the season with hits in eight straight games ... seven multiple hit games.

Softball Falls to Moravian in Landmark Tournament Opener

BETHLETHEM, Pa.- Juniata softball took the field for its first Landmark Tournament game in four years on Saturday morning against host Moravian. The Eagles had an early 1-0 lead but the Greyhounds came back to score five times in the bottom of third to take a lead they would not relinquish as Moravian won 9-1 in five innings.

Eagles Eliminated from Landmark Tournament with 5-1 Loss to Susquehanna

BETHLEHEM, Pa.- Needing a win to play another day in the Landmark Tournament, Juniata softball faced off against Susquehanna in the final of four games on Saturday. JC led 1-0 after 3 2/3 innings but the River Hawks tied and then took the lead for good in the fifth on their way to a 5-1 win.

Eagles Clinch Landmark Playoff Spot with Walk Off Win Over Elizabethtown

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- With the game tied at 3-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Allie Baney (State College, Pa./State College) singled to bring home the winning run as the Eagles softball team rallied to defeat Elizabethtown 4-3 in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon at West End Field. The win clinches the fourth and final playoff spot in the Landmark Tournament for Juniata and is the team’s first playoff berth since 2013.

ALTOONA, Pa.- Juniata softball traveled 36 miles west for a non-conference doubleheader with Penn State Altoona on Tuesday afternoon. The Lions won the first game 9-1 in six innings while the Eagles took the second game 11-0 in five innings.

Eagles Softball Clipped by River Hawks in Doubleheader

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata softball hosted Landmark rival Susquehanna in a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The River Hawks defeated the Eagles 6-2 in Game 1 and 10-0 in six innings in Game 2. The loss drops JC to 13-17 overall and 3-5 in the conference while Susquehanna improves to 19-9 overall and 6-2 in the conference.

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Raindrops fell and there was a chill in the air but that did not stop the Juniata softball team from hosting a doubleheader with Pitt-Greensburg on Thursday afternoon. The Eagles upped their winning streak to five as they swept the Bobcats to even their record at 9-9 on the season.

Eagles Softball Sweeps Royals in Home Opener

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata softball team did something on Sunday that it hasn’t done since 2009 and that was sweep Scranton. The Eagles won 11-6 in the first game and took the second game 8-4. The wins improve Juniata’s overall record to 7-9 and 2-0 in the Landmark. The Royals drop to 5-6 and 0-2.

CLERMONT, FLA.- The Juniata softball team played it second game of the day with an afternoon contest against New England College. Unlike Sunday’s game when the two teams combined for 24 runs, this time it was much lower scoring as the Pilgrims won 5-2.

Three Juniata Softball Players Recognized as NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced their All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2015-16 academic year. Current Juniata players Allie Baney (State College, Pa./State College Area HS), Jennifer Carthew (New Paris, Pa./Chestnut-Ridge), and Sarah Sotelo (Fairfax, Va./Paul VI Catholic) all garnered recognition.
