Bettinger Named to Landmark First Team

TOWSON, Md.- The Landmark All-Conference Team for softball was announced on Thursday. Senior first baseman Holly Bettinger (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) was named to the First Team. This is the first honor for her in her four-year career.

Maddie Garrick surrendered just one run on two hits in Juniata's 6-1 win over the Panthers.
Softball Splits Doubleheader Finale

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata softball hosted Pitt-Bradford in the regular season finale on Tuesday afternoon at West End Field. The Eagles got a strong pitching effort from Maddie Garrick to win the first game 6-1 and nearly had a comeback in the second as the Panthers won 9-8 in Game Two.

Eagles Softball Falls in Landmark Finale

WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Juniata softball team played its final Landmark Conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles were bested by host Catholic 7-2 and 2-1.

Allie Baney was a combined 3-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored, and one run batted in.
Eagles Swept by Penn State Harrisburg

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata softball hosted Penn State Harrisburg in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon. The Lions took the first game 7-5 and won the second game 10-1 in five innings.

Seniors Paige Dennison, Holly Bettinger, and Brooke Walls were recognized between games.
Softball Stopped by #19 Moravian

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata softball hosted first place Moravian on Saturday afternoon in a doubleheader at West End Field. The #19 Greyhounds won both games by the score of 8-0.

Abby Ebright hit a three-run homerun in Game 1 against the Lions.
Eagles Split With Lions

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Maddie Garrick (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) picked up her first career win and the Eagles hit two homeruns as they defeated Penn State-Altoona 9-2 in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon at West End Field. Garrick was making her first career start for Juniata.

Maddie Garrick pitched four innings in Game 2 and gave up four hits, one earned run, and two walks while striking out three.
Softball Drops Landmark Doubleheader to Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa.- Juniata softball scored a pair of runs in both games of their doubleheader with Scranton but it was not enough as the Royals won both games on Saturday afternoon. Scranton won the first game 7-2 and the second by the score of 5-2.

Paige Dennison hit her fourth home run of the season in the second inning of Game One.
Juniata Rally Falls Short at Dickinson

CARLISLE, Pa.- Trailing 6-0 in the second game of a doubleheader, the Juniata softball team had two two-out rallies to tie their game with Dickinson. The Red Devils had a rally of their own as they scored the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to defeat the Eagles 9-8 on Tuesday night at Dickinson Park.

Bettinger Named Landmark Softball Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md.- Senior first baseman Holly Bettinger (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) has been named the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week it was announced on Monday. This is Bettinger’s first weekly honor of her career and she is the first Juniata player to earn this distinction since Kelsea Decker in 2013.

Holly Bettinger went 3-for-6 with two home runs, two runs scored, and four runs batted in against E-Town.
Softball Picks Up Big Win Over Elizabethtown

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata softball jumped out to a 7-0 lead against Elizabethtown and held off a Blue Jay rally as the Eagles won 7-4 in the second game of a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon at West End Field. The victory was the first for JC over E-Town since 2009 and ended an 11-game Blue Jay winning streak over the Eagles.

Chrisi Lerchen batted in three runs in the Eagles' 11-7 win over Wilson.
Eagles Split with Wilson College

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- Juniata softball rebounded from a tough loss in Game One to hold off Wilson College 11-7 in Game Two on Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles’ record now stands at 10-12 overall while the Phoenix are now 7-9.

Lindsey Kosicki was 2-for-4 on the afternoon with three runs scored and four runs batted in.
Softball Picks up First Conference Win in Split With Drew

MADISON, N.J.- Lindsey Kosicki’s (Patton, Pa/Cambria Heights) two-out single in the seventh inning scored two runs and gave Juniata softball a 6-4 win over Drew for its first Landmark win of the season in the first game of a doubleheader. The contest was pushed back two hours because of weather.

Eagles Fall to Bearcats in Doubleheader

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata softball hosted St. Vincent College in a non-conference doubleheader on Thursday afternoon at West End Field. The Bearcats won 9-1 in the first game and 20-3 in the second game.

Kerigan Ammerman's sacrifice fly in the fifth inning made it 4-3 in Game Two.
Softball Drops Landmark Doubleheader to Susquehanna

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata hosted Susquehanna in the Landmark opener for both teams on Friday afternoon at West End Field. The Crusaders took Game One 10-0 and the second game by the score of 4-3.

Softball Sweeps Pitt-Greensburg With Offensive Display

GREENSBURG, Pa.- Juniata softball outscored Pitt-Greensburg 27-5 in two games as the Eagles swept the Panthers on Tuesday afternoon. JC won 9-4 in the first game and 18-1 in five innings in the second game.
