HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College men's cross country team turns its focus to the 2013 NCAA DIII Mideast Regional on Saturday. The meet will take place at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa and will be hosted by Muhlenberg College. There will be 59 teams tackling the 8K course.
The Eagles will send nine runners from the team that placed second at the Landmark Conference Championship meet on Nov. 2 to Lehigh University. Juniata will look to senior Nate Alter (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) to lead the pack. Alter capped off his Landmark career by finishing sixth at the conference meet, good enough for First Team All-Landmark accolades.
Second Team runners sophomores Ryan Bogdan (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius) and Matt Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland), and freshmen Nick Simpson (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein) and Xavier Cachon (Bala Cynwyd, Pa./Lower Merion) will help to Eagles to a strong team finish.
The men's race will begin at 12:30 p.m., immediately following the women's race, which starts at 11 a.m.
