Men's Volleyball Moves to the Top of the AVCA Poll
HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's volleyball team returned to the top of the AVCA Division III poll for the first time since 2015. This is the 116th time the Eagles have been ranked #1 in the AVCA poll, the second most in poll history. The previous time was back on February 3, 2015.
Springfield has spent the most time ranked #1, with 119 weeks at the top. Juniata is among the top three schools in total appearances in the top 15 ranking and also times ranked in the top 10.
Sitting at 12-0, off to the best start in program history and the longest winning streak in the history of the program as well, Juniata has already knocked off five ranked foes. Carthage (#4), St. John Fisher (#6), Messiah (#7), Marymount (#15), and Wentworth, who was ranked #3 at the time the teams played.
Juniata will take on Penn State Altoona Friday at 7:00 before a pair of matches against Continental Volleyball Conference foes Southern Virginia at 1:00 and Elizabethtown at 5:00.
