Men's Track and Field Takes Second at ECAC Championships
WESTMINSTER, M.D.- The Juniata men's track and field team took second at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships hosted by McDaniel College Saturday afternoon.
Spencer Siegel led the Eagles, taking first in the shot put (14.84m), second in the hammer (45.08) and sixth in the discus (38.89). Logan Hackenberg finished fourth in the hammer with a 38.10m throw. Gavin Robb took 10th in the javelin (38.45).
Djemba Ndikwe claimed first in the 400m (.48.69), and eighth in the 100m (12.76). Jacob Alexander finished seventh in the 110m hurdles (17.07), while Creig Jr. Bell was ninth in the 200m (23.26). Parker Thomas crossed the finish line fourth in the 400m hurdles (59.04), and Deric Fritzges was third in the 800m (2:00.52). CJ Coffey came in third in the 1500m (4:18.78) with Adam Gallo right behind him in fourth (4:20.37).
Gallo took second in the 5000m (16.31.10), Coffey was third, (16:34.26) and Clark Gaynor came seventh (16:54.04).
Ray Stonesifer was eighth in the high jump (1.83m), Robb vaulted into second place in the pole vault (3.95m) and Sean Buckley took fourth (3.65m). Joey McGowan was right behind him in fifth (3.20m).
Waylon Ehrenzeller finished in ninth in the triple jump (11.80), while the 4x100 relay team of Isaiah Huffstutler, Bell, Akari Daniels and Ewart claimed fourth (43.66). Josh Wilson, Fritzges, Robb and Kaelano Kelly was sixth in the 4x400 (3:31.94).
