Strong Sprint Performances Highlight Juniata at YSU Mid-Major
Youngstown, Ohio – The Juniata men's track and field team turned in a series of solid performances at Youngstown State University on Friday, highlighted by strong sprint times and a pair of personal records.
Senior Colson Lewis led the Eagles on the track, finishing 16th in the 60-meter prelims with a time of 7.09 before adding a 22.39 in the 200 meters. Freshman Djemba Ndikwe continued his impressive indoor campaign, setting personal bests in both of his events. Ndikwe clocked a PR 23.04 in the 200 meters and followed with another lifetime best of 50.33 in the 400 meters.
In the field events, sophomore Spencer Siegel paced Juniata in the shot put, placing ninth overall with a throw of 13.97 meters (45-10).
The Eagles will look to build on these performances as the indoor season continues next week at the Susuqehanna Friday Night Showdown
