Reamer Runs 4:11.18 PR in 1500m to Lead Juniata Men at Landmark Championships
SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. – First-year distance runner McClain Reamer turned in a personal-best time of 4:11.18 in the 1500-meter run to finish 12th overall and highlight the Juniata men's track and field team's performances at Landmark Championships hosted by Susquehanna.
Fellow first-year Adam Gallo (Danville, Pa. / Danville Area HS) also impressed in the distance events, placing ninth in the 10,000-meter run with a personal-best 34:07.83.
In the hurdles, Deric Fritzges (Walnutport, Pa. / Northampton Area HS) qualified through the 110-meter hurdles prelims with a PR of 16.14 seconds, the top time in his heat and 10th overall.
In the field events, Gavin Robb (Centre Hall, Pa. / Penns Valley HS) cleared a personal-best 3.85m (12-7.5) in the pole vault to take third and score six team points. Teammate Sean Buckley (So. / [Hometown TBD]) followed in eighth with a season-best vault of 3.55m (11-7.75).
Spencer Siegel (Dillsburg, Pa. / Northern HS) earned a third-place finish in the shot put with a strong mark of 14.27m (46-10), collecting six team points for the Eagles.
Juniata placed four athletes in the top 10 of the long jump, led by Mandel Edelin (Washington, D.C. / Ron Brown College Prep HS), who went 6.23m (20-5.25) to finish ninth. Hunter Robertson (Clifton Springs, N.Y. / Canandaigua Academy), Shane Smith (Martinsburg, Pa. / Central HS), and Waylon Ehrenzeller (Mifflintown, Pa. / Juniata HS) rounded out the Eagles' jumpers with leaps of 5.84m, 5.54m, and 5.30m, respectively.
In the hammer throw, Logan Hackenberg (Mifflinburg, Pa. / Mifflinburg HS) placed 13th at 35.12m (115-2), and Talbot Reed-Jaquay (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Mechanicsburg Area Senior HS) finished 16th with a throw of 32.39m (106-3).
Noah Rice (Shade Gap, Pa. / Southern Huntingdon County HS) threw 10.37m (34-0.25) in the shot put to place 21st.
