NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Juniata men's tennis team return from Westminster victorious, 5-4, Saturday afternoon.
The duo of Martin Munoz and Ross Conway got past their opponent in first doubles, winning 8-2. Axel Chabbert and Utsav Deravariya beat their opponent 8-4 in third doubles, but Ezenna Emuka and Dillon Murphy fell 4-8 in second doubles.
In singles play, Munoz won 6-0, 6-2 in first singles, but Emuka fell 2-6, 5-7 in second singles. Murphy beat his opponent 6-3, 7-5 in third singles, and Conway added a point in fourth singles, winning 6-1, 6-2. In fifth singles, Chabbert put up a good battle but ultimately fell 6-0, 65-77, 6-10. Deravariya fell 1-8 in sixth singles.
The Eagles are back in action at home Monday, April 10, for a 3:00 pm start.
