Men's Tennis Sweeps Moravian

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Eagles had a 9-0 victory against Moravian today on the Raffensberger-Brumbaugh Courts. The team is now 2-0 in conference play and 4-1 overall.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Eagles had a 9-0 victory against Moravian today on the Raffensberger-Brumbaugh Courts. The team is now 2-0 in conference play and 4-1 overall.

In doubles play, all three Juniata duos came out on top. Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Australia/Saint Ignatius) and Roy Liberman (Montevideo, Uruguary/EIHU) beat their opponent 8-3. With an 8-2 win, Matyas Kohout (Prague, Czech Republic/Gymnasium Jizni Mesto) and Owen Grafe (Newton, Mass./Newton North) swept past their opponents with teammates Jason Gerber (Commack, NY/Commack High School) and Dan Ansel (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) reaching an 8-1 victory as well.

Polisena won 6-1, 6-1 at first singles with Liberman defeating his opponent 6-4, 6-1 in second singles. Kohout won in the third spot with Daichi McAuliffe-Uch( Wantage, NJ/High Point Regional HS), Ansel, and Grafe all also topping their competitors.

The Eagles will return to the court tomorrow, April 9, for another match against Elizabethtown.
