Men’s Tennis Shuts Out Randolph Macon 9-0 in Home Opener
HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men’s tennis team played its first ever regular season match on its new courts on Wednesday afternoon against Randolph-Macon. The Eagles came away victorious with a 9-0 win over the Yellowjackets.

While second and third doubles for the Eagles were easily won, the first doubles pair of Roy Liberman (Montevideo, Uruguay / EIHU) and Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Australia / Saint Ignatius) needed a comeback and did so as they held off Baxter Carter and Grant Sarver 8-6.
In singles play, Daichi McAuliffe-Uchida (Wantage, NJ / High Point Regional HS) won his third straight match with a 7-6, 6-3 victory over Alex Curnow at fourth singles. He improves to 4-2 on season. Dan Ansel (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) also improved his record to 4-2 with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Stuart McCroskey at fifth singles. Other winners included Polisena, Matyas Kohout (Prague, Czech Republic / Gymnasium Jizni Mesto), Liberman, and Owen Grafe (Newton, Mass./Newton North).
Juniata begins Landmark play this Saturday when it travels to the nation's capital to play Catholic. Match time is at 1:00 p.m.
