Juniata Battles, Can’t Grab 14th Win

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata men's tennis team fought hard but was unable to capture their 14^th win of the year, Saturday afternoon. Despite the loss, however, the Eagles finished with an impressive 13-6 record.

On the Eagles' side of the ball, the day belonged to senior Brice Morey (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro). Playing in his last home match as a member of the Juniata men's tennis program, Morey was impressive, yet again. Celebrating his senior day, Morey took a straight set singles victory and paired with junior Justin Wisniewski (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) to win 8-4 in doubles.

Also impressive were junior Elliott Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) and freshman Bryan Gregory (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley). The doubles pair rallied from a deep early deficit to earn a remarkable win in the No. 2 doubles position.

The Eagles now await word on whether or not they have clinched a playoff berth in the Landmark Conference tournament.
