Eagles Flatten Conference Opponents in a Stacked State College Field
State College, Pa.- Men's golf saw better conditions today in State College as they overtook Susquehanna and others to secure a sixth-place finish out of 22 teams. The Eagles shot 302 as a team today, with the Blue Course playing more favorably.
Griffin Snowberger led the Eagles today with a 74(+2) and an even 37 split on each side. Snowberger recorded a team high of four birdies today enroute to a birdie finish on the course and a T22 finish on the leaderboard. Ben Pintof had an impressive round today, tying Snowberger with a 74 (+2). Pintof had a red-hot back nine, complete with two birdies and an Eagle on the 18th. Pintof finishes up at State College in 32nd place. Colin Wible shot 74 (+2) as well today for Eagles, starting with seven pars in a row for a 36 front nine. He had two birdies on the day and finished in 44th place for the tournament. Kole Washleski started with a birdie on the Blue today in State College. Washleski would finish with an 81 and tie Snowberger for a T22 finish for the tournament. Ryan Hilyard rounds out the top five for the Eagles with an 82. Hilyard ends the tournament in 50th place overall.
Ethan Brown was the class of the tournament for the Eagles, playing as an individual, finishing in 14th place. Brown rolled in three birdies on the day, shooting a 76 (+4) in moderately better conditions today.
The Eagles head to Hershey on Thursday to compete in the Elizabethtown Spring Invite.
