Men's Golf Battles at The Cardinal Classic
Hagerstown, Md.- Men's Golf took the B team down to Hagerstown today to compete in the Cardinal Classic at Black Rock Golf Club alongside 12 other strong teams.
Ethan Brown led the Eagles on the day, continuing his senior campaign with a steady three-over-par 75, earning a T18 finish. Brown carded a 38 on the front nine and a 37 on the back, highlighted by consistent play and a pair of birdies that kept him near the top 20 in the 68-man field. Right behind him was Ian Nagel, who turned in a 76 to claim a T21 finish. Nagel was dialed in from the start, posting 38s on both nines and tallying multiple birdies to maintain his momentum throughout the round. Kole Washleski followed with a 79, placing T33. Washleski's round featured several solid pars and a birdie to steady his scorecard across a challenging layout. Larry Singer shot an 80, good for T44. Singer found success early with a birdie on the front nine, and battled through a tough stretch to post a 39 on the back and stay inside the top 50. Rounding out the Eagles' lineup was Elliot Lingle, who finished with an 82 for T51. Lingle fought through a demanding front nine and rebounded with a composed back side that included a birdie to close out his round strongly. Shawn Gamble rounded out the individual spot for the Eagles with a 90. Gamble led the team, along with Nagel, with three birdies, including a 65-yard hole-out.
The Eagles will begin play again tomorrow at Black Rock at 10:20 AM.
