2016-17 (Sophomore): Saw the court in all 26 games this season and started in 23... increased his average to 11.5 points per game with a field goal percentage of 46.9... scored double digit points in 17 games this season with a season-high 19 points against Scranton (2/4)... finished the season with 41 assists and 25 steals.

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.- Host Westminster used a 27-7 run spanning both halves to jump ahead and defeat Juniata 71-57 on Wednesday night in the opening round of the ECAC Tournament. The Titans advance to play DeSales on Friday while the Eagles end their season with a final record of 13-13.

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men’s basketball team saw its four-game winless streak come to an end as the Eagles defeated visiting Goucher 58-52 on Wednesday night at Memorial Gym. The win evens JC’s overall record at 12-12 and improves its Landmark record to 4-9. The Gophers slip to 5-19 and 2-11 in the conference.

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata and Elizabethtown men’s basketball teams both found themselves locked into a defensive struggle on Wednesday night at Memorial Gym. The Eagles trailed by one point with 23 seconds left but the Blue Jays converted three of four free throws to come out with a 62-58 victory.

SELINSGROVE, Pa.- Juniata led early in the first half but host Susquehanna got off a big run in the second as the Eagles dropped an 83-57 decision to the River Hawks on Wednesday night. The loss puts JC’s record at 11-8 overall and 3-6 in the Landmark. SU is now 17-2 overall and 7-2 in the conference.

WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Juniata men’s basketball team was out to exact some revenge on Landmark rival Catholic for an earlier loss this month on their home floor. The Eagles were able to follow through as they defeated the Cardinals 81-71 on Saturday afternoon at the Raymond A. Dufour Athletic Center. It was the first road win for JC at Catholic since February 2009.

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Catholic’s Louis Khouri converted a layup with under a second left as the Cardinals walked away with a 65-64 over Juniata on Saturday night at Memorial Gymnasium. The win improves Catholic’s record to 10-3 and 2-0 in the Landmark while the Eagles drop to 8-5 and 0-2 in the conference.

Offense Awakens in Second Half as Juniata Men Defeat Lancaster Bible 77-55

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- An uneven first half effort gave way to a strong performance in the second as the Juniata men’s basketball team took down Lancaster Bible 77-55 on Tuesday night at Memorial Gymnasium. The victory improves the Eagles’ record to 8-4 while the Chargers fall to 2-6.

Seth Brewer scored 11 points and also picked up five rebounds, five assists, and three steals. He was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Men’s Hoops Defeat St. Joseph’s 65-54 At DeSales

CENTER VALLEY, Pa.- Juniata used an 18-4 run in the second half to pull away as it defeated St. Joseph’s of Brooklyn 65-54 in the consolation game of the Al Senavitis Memorial Tournament hosted by DeSales University on Friday night. The Eagles finish the 2016 portion of their schedule with a record of 7-4.

Juniata Men Fall to Alvernia 66-57 at DeSales Tournament

CENTER VALLEY, PA.- The Juniata men’s basketball team returned to the hardwood on Thursday night after a nine-day break to play Alvernia in the Al Senavitis Memorial Tournament hosted by DeSales University. The Eagles recovered from a double-digit deficit in the first half to make it a one-possession contest in the second but the Crusaders proved to be too much as they won 66-57.

Eagles Come Away with 74-72 Win at Pitt-Bradford

BRADFORD, PA.- A Seth Brewer (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) steal with three seconds left prevented a potential Pitt-Bradford game-winning basket as Juniata defeated the Panthers 74-72 on Monday evening. The win gives JC a record of 6-3 while the Panthers fall to 3-5 overall.

Marcus Lee scored 22 points to lead the Eagles and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Case Western Wins Doc Greene Tournament with 66-60 Win Over Juniata

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Case Western Reserve went on a 14-2 run midway through the second half to take a lead it would not surrender as the Spartans defeated Juniata 66-60 to claim the championship of the 25th annual Doc Greene Tournament. The loss puts the Eagles record at 5-3 overall while Case improves to 3-4 on the season.

THE HEADLINE: Juniata hosted the 25th annual Doc Greene Tournament on Friday night at Memorial Gymnasium. The Eagles nearly matched their highest shooting percentage of the season as they easily won over the College of St. Joseph’s 93-60.

Eagles Hold Off Late Tartan Run to Win 62-58

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata thwarted a late Carnegie Mellon run in the second half as it defeated the Tartans 62-58 on Monday night at Memorial Gymnasium. The win gives the Eagles a record of 4-2 while CMU falls to 4-3 overall.

SCRANTON, Pa.- The Juniata men’s basketball team started Landmark Conference play on Saturday against Scranton. The Royals used a 12-2 run in the second half to break open a close game as they won 78-61 at the John Long Center. The loss puts Juniata at 3-2 overall and 0-1 in the LC while Scranton is 5-1 and 1-0 in the conference.

THE HEADLINE: Juniata men's basketball hosted Washington and Jefferson College on Tuesday night at Memorial Gymnasium. The Eagles led for most of the game as they cruised to an 85-59 victory. Juniata improves to 3-1 overall while the Presidents fall to 0-4.

Eagles Bested by Bison 75-68 in Coaches Vs Cancer Championship Game

CRESSON, Pa.- Saturday afternoon’s championship game of the Coaches Vs. Cancer Tournament pitted the Juniata men’s basketball team against Bethany (W.V.) College. It was Eagle head coach Greg Curley against his former assistant and player Nick Hager. Hager’s team ended out on top in the end as the Bison held off the Eagles 75-68.

THE HEADLINE: The Juniata men’s basketball team opened its 2016-17 season on Friday night at the Coaches Vs Cancer Tournament hosted by Mount Aloysius College. The Eagles faced Penn State Altoona and dominated as they cruised to a 90-53 win.

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Last week, the Landmark Conference released its 2016-17 men’s basketball preseason poll. Juniata was slated to finish fourth and received two first place votes. It should seem like no surprise considering the Eagles were fourth last year and returned to the LC playoffs for the first time in three seasons. JC got out to a program-best 8-0 start and won nine of its first 10 games on its way to a 16-11 finish and qualified for the both the Landmark and ECAC Tournaments.
