SELINSGROVE, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team lost on the road to Susquehanna University, 5-0, Wednesday evening.
Kara Stringfellow made three saves in goal for the Eagles.
The River Hawks offense got on the board quickly as they scored a minute and a half into the game. They added a second goal in the final three seconds of the first quarter.
Susquehanna added two more in the second, as the Eagles trailed 4-0 at the halftime break.
The hosts had an 8-2 advantage in shots in the first half.
SU added the final goal in the final nine minutes of the game.
Susquehanna held a 15-2 advantage in shots and a 8-2 advantage in penalty corners.
Juniata will return to action this Saturday at the University of Scranton with a gametime of 1:00 pm.
