Bethlehem, Pa.- The Junita field hockey team suffered a 2-1 overtime loss on the road at Moravian on Saturday afternoon.
Caitlin Steffie scored for Juniata, which was her sixth goal of the year. Colleen Creneti assisted, her second of the season. Amanda Puza made six saves.
The Greyhounds scored midway through the first quarter, smashing in a goal off a penalty corner.
The Eagles answered in the second quarter. Creneti swept the ball towards goal, and Steffie beat everyone to it before tapping it in.
The Greyhounds held a narrow 4-3 advantage in shots at halftime and a 6-1 advantage on corners.
The second half saw neither team find a winner, so the game went into overtime.
Moravian found a winner three minutes into the extra period, creating a tap-in at the near post on a penalty corner.
Juniata will host Elizabethtown on Tuesday at 7:00, with whom they are tied in the standings.
