DALLAS, Pa.- The Juniata field hockey team traveled to Misericordia on Tuesday afternoon to take on the Cougars. Although the scoreboard was clean for the majority of the match, the Cougars slid two past the Eagles, resulting in a 2-0 loss.
Lillian Case (Reading, Pa / Wilson High School) and Audrey Marker (Huntingdon, Pa. / Huntingdon Area H.S.) were able to get a shot apiece but were unsuccessful in finding the back of the cage. Nicole Piccioni (Richfield, Pa. / Midd-West) and her defense held the Cougars to two goals after Piccioni was tested with 17 shots faced and managed to stop six of them.
The Eagles continue their road travels tomorrow at Lebanon Valley as they take on the Dutchmen at 7:00 pm.
