HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Registration is still open for Juniata College Football’s Summer Youth Camp, which will be held June 16-17, 2015. The camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30a.m. at Knox Stadium on the Juniata College campus. Registration is open to children entering grades 1 through 8 and will take place on June 16 at 8:15 a.m. at the entrance of Knox prior to the opening of camp. The cost is $40 per child.
IRVING, TX- Three members of the Juniata football team recently earned membership to the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society. The organization recognizes football student-athletes from every division who have maintained a 3.2 cumulative GPA while being a starter in their last year of eligibility.
HUNTINGDON, PA- Senior linebacker Ethan Wilt (Altoona, PA/Altoona Area) was recently honored at the 18th annual National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Central Pennsylvania Chapter scholar-athlete awards banquet. The event was held on March 22 at the Penn State Hotel and Conference Center.
HUNTINGDON, PA- Senior quarterback Ward Udinski (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West), who completed a stellar four-year career with Juniata this past fall, will continue his football career overseas. Udinski has signed a contract for one year to play for the Munich Cowboys of the German Football League.
HUNTINGDON, PA- Juniata head football coach Tim Launtz has announced that Scott Knapp has been named the Eagles’ new offensive coordinator. Knapp began his new position earlier this week.
HUNTINGDON, PA- Last Thursday, Juniata senior quarterback Ward Udinski (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) was honored along with 21 other players who were named to the Allstate/AFCA Goodworks Team at halftime of the 2015 College Football Semifinal between Ohio State and Alabama at the Allstate® Sugar Bowl. The 22 players represented the Bowl Subdivision, Championship Subdivision, Divisions II, III, and NAIA.
HUNTINGDON, PA- USA College Football has announced its All-American Teams. Senior quarterback Ward Udinski (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) was named to the Third Team. Senior linebacker Ethan Wilt (Altoona, PA/Altoona Area HS) received an Honorable Mention.
LANCASTER, PA- The Centennial Conference announced its All-Conference team in football on Tuesday. Senior quarterback Ward Udinksi (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) was named the Offensive Player of the Year. In addition, he was also named to the First Team and joins four members of the Juniata football team that received All-Conference honors. Udinski is the first Juniata player to be named Offensive Player of the Year and just the second quarterback to win the award since Hewlitt Tomlin of Johns Hopkins did in 2011.
SELINSGROVE, PA- The Juniata Eagles football team ended the season on a high note as it defeated Susquehanna 44-35 in the annual Goalpost Game on Saturday afternoon at Lopardo Stadium. The goalpost returns to Juniata for a second straight season and the Eagles claim their first victory in Selinsgrove since 1980.
HUNTINGDON, PA- A tradition that goes back over 60 years will once again be renewed as the Juniata football team travels to Susquehanna for the annual Goalpost Game. Kickoff from Lopardo Stadium will be at 1 p.m.
BRIDGEPORT, CT- Two members of the Juniata football team were named Players of the Week by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) on Tuesday. Quarterback Ward Udinski (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) was selected as the Offensive Player of the Week while wide receiver Isaiah Slutter (Hawley, PA/Wallenpaupack) was chosen as the Special Teams Player of the Week.
LANCASTER, PA- The Centennial Conference announced its players of the week on Sunday. Quarterback Ward Udinski (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) was named the Offensive Player of the Week while receiver Isaiah Slutter (Hawley, PA/Wallenpaupack Area) was tabbed the Special Teams Player of the Week. It is the third such weekly award for Udinski this season while it is Slutter’s first.
HUNTINGDON, PA- Quarterback Ward Udinski (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) and receiver Kirby Breault (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown Area) both enjoyed career days as the Juniata football team cruised to a 56-31 win over McDaniel on Saturday afternoon at Knox Field. The victory evens the Eagles record at 4-4 overall and 3-4 in the Centennial while the Green Terror fall to 1-7 and 0-7 in the conference.
HUNTINGDON, PA- Looking to rebound after a tough loss to Muhlenberg last week, the Juniata football team welcomes McDaniel College to Knox Field this Saturday for their annual Pink Game. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
ALLENTOWN, PA- Host Muhlenberg held a commanding 35-0 lead before Juniata scored its first touchdown as the Mules defeated the Eagles 42-13 on Saturday afternoon at Scotty Wood Stadium. The loss drops JC to 3-4 overall and 2-4 in the Centennial while Muhlenberg improves to 6-1 overall and 5-1 in the conference.
HUNTINGDON, PA- After ending its three-game winless streak last week with a 38-10 victory over Ursinus, the 3-3 Juniata football team will look to start a new streak this Saturday when it travels to Allentown, Pa to take on the 5-1 Muhlenberg Mules. Kickoff from Scotty Wood Stadium is set for 1 p.m.
