Blank Drives in Three as Juniata Defeats Susquehanna 11-4
Huntingdon, Pa. – Juniata scored five runs in the second inning and never looked back in an 11-4 win over Susquehanna.
Juniata erased an early 2-0 deficit with a five-run second. Connor Blough delivered a two-RBI single, Landon Blank followed with a two-RBI single, and Zach Johnston added an RBI single.
Blank led the offense, going 2-for-5 with three RBI. Blough finished with two RBI, three runs scored, and three walks. Ethan Pfeffer went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
Jace Irvin added two hits and an RBI, while Zach Johnston recorded a hit, an RBI, and a run scored. Matthew Koehler added a hit and an RBI.
Juniata totaled 12 hits and drew six walks while stealing five bases.
On the mound, Landen Eichhorn earned the win, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits over 6.2 innings with three strikeouts. Tim Coleman, Robbie Pliszka, and Ben Ryan combined for 2.1 scoreless innings in relief.
Juniata baseball hosts Mary Washington for a single game Friday and a doubleheader Saturday.
