Eagles Fall to Cardinals in Final Game of Series

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Eagles fell to the Catholic Cardinals 25-5 in the third game of the conference series.

Juniata scored two runs in the first inning. Chris Schreder (Lititz, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) reached first on an error and advanced on Cameron Livingston's (Blairsville, Pa./Blairsville) fielder's choice. The last and final run for the team came in the seventh inning. Hunter Price (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) and Devyn Carper (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) reached on a walk and hit by pitch, and Schreder singled to send in Price's run.

Jesse Beeler (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle-Antrim) took the loss for the Eagles. Caleb Pepperday (Phillipsburg, Pa./Phillipsburg-Osceola HS) came in to pitch in the sixth, striking out three.
