Juniata Athletics collecting Toys for Tots at Saturday’s basketball games
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be collecting Toys for Tots during Saturday’s home basketball doubleheader against Susquehanna University.
HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be collecting Toys for Tots during Saturday’s home basketball doubleheader against Susquehanna University.
The Eagles and the Crusaders will battle on Saturday, Dec. 3, starting with the men’s game at 5:30 p.m., followed by the women’s game at approximately 7:30 p.m. Both games will take place at the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center.
Any fan who brings a new, unwrapped toy to the game will receive complimentary admission. Collected toys will be then delivered to the local coordinator for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.
Without a new, unwrapped toy, admission to the doubleheader is $4 for adults, and $2 for seniors age 62-and-over or children 12-and-under.
Juniata men’s basketball brings a 5-1 record into its Landmark Conference opener against Susquehanna University (0-4). The Juniata women’s basketball team, ranked 20th in the nation in this week’s D3hoops.com Division III Top 25 poll, will put its perfect 6-0 record on the line against the Crusaders (2-2).
