Juniata Athletics Announces Staffing Updates
HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata Athletics is excited to announce the reconfiguration of the Athletic Leadership Team to reflect a more contemporary model. The following individuals will share sport oversight as we seek to provide resources, support and responsiveness to coaches and student-athletes.
"The staffing updates were developed through extensive evaluation and assessment of operations," said Nikki Ayers '06, Director of Athletics. " We are now better positioned to meet the challenges ahead and to make progress on our goals and priorities. I look forward to ushering in a new era for Juniata Athletics."
The new titles and roles added or adjusted are as follows:
· Brittany DeHaven '09 was selected through a national search to serve as the Assistant Athletic Director for Enrollment, Retention and Student Success, and she will begin in this role starting September 1
· Scott McKenzie will transition to Associate Athletic Director for External Engagement
· Ben Grant will transition to Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications
· Jarrett Kratzer will transition to Assistant Athletic Director for Sport Performance.
· Jeff Leydig will transition to Director of Sports Medicine
· Meghan Shoff will transition to Athletic Trainer/Compliance Coordinator. This change recognizes Meghan's successful coordination of NCAA compliance responsibilities over the past year and her ongoing designation as Juniata's senior compliance administrator with the NCAA.
· Dodie Edwards and Casey Cramer will be positioned as Athletic Trainers within Juniata Sports Medicine. These updates and titles reflect their certifications and are more consistent with contemporary athletics practices.
· Danny Young-Uhrich will continue to serve in the role of Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) along with leading Women's Basketball as head coach.
