Bio
Roland T. Norfleet comes to Juniata with experience across multiple levels of football as a player and a coach, bringing defensive expertise at multiple levels across the secondary and the defensive line. In his most recent coaching venture, Norfleet served as an Assistant Coach for defensive backs (2024) and the defensive line (2025) at Averett University. He specialized in breaking down fundamental skills to develop football IQ and situational awareness. His leadership of athletes extended beyond the field, serving as a mentor promoting discipline, leadership, and strength.
Norfleet also has Division II experience playing at Shippensburg as a defensive back from 2018 to 2022. He continued his playing career at Averett, where he would go on to coach, playing two years as a safety, linebacker, and SAM Nickle.
He also holds two different degrees from Averett, with a B.S in Health and Sports Science and an MBA with a concentration in leadership as well.
